Mario Diez
CEO
Mario is an industry leader with well over a decade of experience in digital media and technology.
Before joining quadrantONE, he was the Vice President of Aperture Sales at Datran Media, launching the division’s sales team and engineering a 300% increase in revenue.
Prior to his term at Datran, Mario launched Centro’s local media platform in New York and spent three years as the Vice President of Eastern Region sales. During his tenure at Centro, he retooled the company’s sales strategy and regional operations, dramatically expanding its coverage of the region and growing sales revenue nearly 500%
Mario also served in senior sales roles at New York Times Digital. Earlier in his career, he joined the 13-person startup, PointRoll, where he successfully negotiated overarching preferred contracts with industry leaders, paving the continued success and growth of this now category-leading company.
Mario lives in Philadelphia with his wife Lisa and three children.
Little known factoid about Mario:
He loves Lego. Saturday mornings often involve some kind of Lego creation with his kids.
Mimi Wotring
SVP Strategic Development & Operations
Mimi’s broad experience in sales, business development and affiliate relations serves her – and us — well as our head of Affiliate Relations.
Prior to her current position, she was Director of Ad Network Solutions for Tribune Interactive (TI), a division of the Tribune Company. Before that she was Director of Business Development at IAC Advertising Solutions, a division of IAC Search & Media. In that role she was General Manager for a media network that generated more than $10 million in revenue, and managed a national business development account team.
Mimi has had additional management experience in sales and affiliate relations for companies such as Ask Jeeves, DoubleClick, and in print publishing.
She is a graduate of the University of Kentucky.
Mimi lives in Chicago with her husband Greg and daughter Posey.
Little known factoid about Mimi:
“Instead of taking an internship one summer,” she told us, “I pretended to get rejected so I could live on the island of Martha’s Vineyard with three girlfriends. It was there that I added my most impressive career choice to date… taxi driver.”
Bill Vorhies
Vice President of Finance and Director of Business Development
Since 2008 Bill has strategically lead his team through the rapid growth that has more than tripled quadrantONE’s revenue and personnel.
Leading up to his current position, Bill was the revenue manager for Tribune Interactive (TI), a division of the Tribune Company. Among other accomplishments, he managed reporting and analysis of TI’s advertising products, totaling more than 230 million dollars annually. He gained additional experience in business development at Tribune Interactive, and in public accounting for Deloitte and Touche LLP in their Assurance and Advisory Services Group.
A Saint Louis native, Bill holds a bachelors degree in finance and accounting from Drake University.
He lives in Chicago with his wife Michelle and son Will. He is an active volunteer with the Horizons for Youth mentoring program.
Little known factoid about Bill:
He once stopped a pickpocket in downtown Chicago. “I believe the embarrassment of me catching up to him was worse than whatever punishment he received,” said Bill.
Mark Dillon
SVP, Sales
Mark Dillon is seasoned Sales Professional with over 20 years of media experience, with his most recent successes in digital media and audience buying.
Prior to joining quadrantONE, Mark previously held the position of Senior Vice President of Sales for United Online. His responsibilities included advertising sales of Adcurate, Classmates, NetZero and Juno as well as marketing for Adcurate, United Online’s audience platform. Prior to his tenure at United Online, he opened the Chicago and Detroit offices for Advertising.com, a division of America Online, Inc. as Vice President of Sales, Central Region. Dillon was part of the sales management team that contributed to a six fold increase in revenue and ultimately to the $497 million acquisition by AOL/Time Warner. Prior to Advertising.com, Dillon opened the Midwest and Southwest sales offices for Ziff-Davis’s ZDNet which grew revenue from zero to over $100 million in less than four years and led to the $1.7 billion acquisition of ZDNet by CNET Networks. Dillon was Vice President of Strategic Sales for CNET Networks after the acquisition. Prior to Ziff-Davis, Dillon worked in various sales and marketing roles at The Weather Channel’s weather.com and NBC Network Television. Dillon received his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame and his MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. He resides outside of Chicago in La Grange, IL with his wife Caroline and three children.
Little known factoid about Mark:
He dove at the ’88 Olympics in Seoul, Korea. Actually, he jumped off the 10-meter platform during a camera test because he was the least senior of the NBC crew and someone had to do it.
